The InSINC Centre, established last year, has entered a new phase of development in 2026 with the implementation of several strategic initiatives. These efforts focus on strengthening, coordinating, and expanding existing programs, while also developing new processes that enhance the overall support system for international students.

The Centre’s activities are designed to promote integration on two key levels. First, by encouraging the more active involvement of international students in the academic and operational life of the university. Second, by fostering meaningful connections between international and Hungarian students, thereby strengthening the university’s intercultural community.

A significant milestone in this process is the establishment of the International Student Advisory Board. The Board plays a key role in supporting the Centre’s mission by endorsing the InSINC’s annual action plan, thereby ensuring strategic alignment and effective implementation.

The inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board was successfully held on 12 February 2026, with the presence of the former Integration Working Group’s leaders, representatives of key university offices, as well as student representation leaders from EHÖK, EDÖK, ISAC, ESN and the HÖOK Mentor Coordinator Network.

This meeting offered a valuable opportunity for all representatives to engage directly and discuss both new and ongoing initiatives. Overall, the exchange not only strengthened institutional collaboration but also laid a solid foundation for future joint efforts, underscoring our shared commitment to developing innovative projects that enhance the academic and social integration of international students.
