The COMPASS (Competence Advancement for Staff in Higher Education through Quality-based Erasmus Staff Trainings) Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships project aims to improve the quality of staff mobilities conducted under the Erasmus+ programme, enabling participants to develop their professional skills and competencies.

As such, the three-year long project, launched in January 2026, focuses on developing quality assurance materials and methodologies, including a Quality Framework for staff training, a Toolkit with quality criteria and checklists, and the launch of the COMPASS quality assurance label. To achieve this, the consortium is identifying and gathering best practices, while also engaging with stakeholders and higher education institutions involved in the implementation of Erasmus+ staff mobility programmes.
