Hungarian Startup University Programme (HSUP)
The HSUP has been operating since 2020 with the policy support of the National Innovation Agency, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation. The goal of our country's first nationally uniform, complex startup education program is to introduce Hungarian university students to the world of innovation, modern entrepreneurial skills and, in particular, the operation of startups.
ELTE has been an active participant in the programme since the beginning. In the past three academic years, nearly 600 ELTE students registered for the course; nearly 200 of them received scholarships. 26 winning ELTE inventors were able to form a team and work on their own startup ideas, the best of which also presented themselves to investors. ELTE also supports the students participating in the program with a number of programmes - pitch development workshops, training events and networking events.

COOPERATIVE DOCTORAL PROGRAMME (KDP)
The aim of the Cooperative Doctoral Programme (KDP) is to further increase the number of professionals working in the field of research, development and innovation, mainly in the STEM fields (mathematics, science, technology and information technology). The KDP aims to enrich the professional knowledge of dedicated doctoral students with the latest scientific research findings and support them as they transfer their knowledge to society and the economy. In addition to the general yearly KDP call, in September 2021 an additional call was launched, entitled the National Defence Cooperative Doctoral Programme (NVKDP), to provide targeted support for scientific careers and the supply of researchers in the national defence strategic sector.
In recent years, a total of 104 ELTE PhD-students have been awarded KDP scholarships under four calls (KDP-2020, KDP-2021, NVKDP-2021 and KDP-2023). Thus, nearly one-third of all doctoral students participating in the programme are conducting their studies and research at ELTE doctoral schools (Doctoral School of Biology, Doctoral School of Physics, Doctoral School of Earth Sciences, Hevesy György PhD School of Chemistry, Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences, Doctoral School of Mathematics, Doctoral School of Informatics, Doctoral School of Psychology, Doctoral School of Education, Doctoral School of Business and Management).
