Hi everyone! I'm Wang Yueyue, a student from China. I love listening to music, reading, watching movies and TV shows, especially K-pop. I’m always curious to explore new things and try different possibilities. In my free time, I write short stories and play the guzheng, a traditional Chinese string instrument. I’d love to help you feel more confident about your next steps—feel free to reach out anytime!

WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?
What stood out to me most about ELTE is how welcoming and supportive it is for international students. When I first arrived in Budapest, I felt a little nervous and unsure about my new life, but the university’s helpful services, friendly professors and open-minded campus environment made me feel at home very quickly. I really appreciate the inclusive atmosphere where students from all over the country and the world can study, communicate and support each other easily. It’s not just a place for study—it feels like a really warm community, and that’s what makes ELTE special to me.
WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?
Studying at ELTE is great because it combines high-quality teaching with a really warm and inclusive environment. As an international student, I never feel left out—professors are supportive and always willing to help, and the campus brings together students from all over the world, making it easy to make friends and learn about different cultures. The university also provides great support for international students, which made my transition to studying in Budapest much smoother. It feels like a place where I can grow both academically and personally, and that’s why I enjoy studying here so much.
WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?
One of my biggest challenges at the beginning was adapting to full‑time study in a foreign language. It took me some time to follow lectures fluently and keep up with academic reading and assignments.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
I overcame it by communicating more with others and managing my time more efficiently. These challenges helped me grow and become better at adapting to new study environments.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE ELTE IN THREE WORDS?
Inclusive, Supportive, Inspiring.
HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?
My degree at ELTE will provide me with solid professional knowledge and improve my critical thinking abilities, which will lay a strong foundation for my future career. Studying abroad also helps me develop excellent cross-cultural communication and problem-solving skills. Personally, it broadens my horizons and helps me grow into a more independent and capable person.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?
I would advise future international students to actively join campus activities and reach out to classmates and teachers. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed, and make full use of the university’s resources and support services. It’s also helpful to explore the local culture and be open-minded, which will make your time at ELTE more enjoyable and rewarding.
