My name is Khadijeh, and I’m from Iran. Sports have always been a big part of my life—I was a professional karate athlete for 14 years, which taught me discipline, resilience, and the power of perseverance. Beyond sports, i’m a highly social person who loves spending time with friends, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. I look forward to embracing new challenges in this journey.

What stood out to me about ELTE was its strong academic reputation, diverse international community, and commitment to excellence. I was particularly drawn to its dynamic learning environment, where students are encouraged to think critically and grow both intellectually and personally. The university’s rich history and vibrant student life also make it an exciting place to study. What makes studying at ELTE so great?
Studying at ELTE is a unique experience because of its welcoming international atmosphere, strong academic reputation, and engaging student life. It’s a place where I can learn, connect with people from different backgrounds, and challenge myself to grow both academically and personally.
What are / were your challenges in your study program?
One of the biggest challenges in my study program has been adjusting to the cost of living, as it is higher than in my home country. Managing expenses while focusing on my studies has been a learning experience. Additionally, being away from my family has been difficult—I miss them a lot. However, this experience has also helped me grow, become more independent, and appreciate the value of resilience.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I overcame these challenges by working part-time to help with living expenses and better manage my finances. Staying busy with work and studies also helped me adjust and become more independent. To cope with missing my family, I stay connected with them through regular calls and focus on building a supportive community here.
How would you describe ELTE in three words?
Dynamic, supportive, transformative
How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

I also think the connections i’m making here—both with professors and fellow students—will open doors to exciting opportunities in my professional life.
Do you have any recommendations for future students at ELTE?
As an ambassador for ELTE, my recommendation for future students is to fully engage with the opportunities the university offers.
