The Quality Policy of Eötvös Loránd University
By creating its quality assurance policy, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) defines the general principles and objectives in the field of quality which demonstraties its commitment to the effective operation and continuous improvement of its quality management system.

Elements of ELTE's quality assurance policy:

Management commitment

ELTE expects its leadership to be committed to the funcitoning and continuous improvement of the quality management system. The rector's programme itself, which determines ELTE's operations in the period between 2025 and 2030, includes a commitment to operating within the quality management framework in all of the university's activities. The University’s leadership and all employees are also committed to implementing quality-focused education and training, research, third mission activities and student services in accordance with the international ESG-2015 principles and guidelines, and to improving quality in line with ensuring academic integrity and freedom.

Continuous improvement

ELTE's operations in all areas are based on the principle of continuous improvement and development, thereby ensuring the strengthening of the domestic and international competitiveness of the institution as a whole and its organizational units. Accordingly, ELTE carries out all of its activities in accordance with the quality management cycle (PDCA).

Quality-conscious employees and their involvement in the implementation of the quality assurance policy

The main objective of quality management activities is to develop regulated processes that involve and engage the University community in improving the quality of education, research and services, take the values formulized in the University's mission statement into account, make the University's operations transparent, ensure equal opportunities and protect the University's citizens against all forms of intolerance and discrimination.

ELTE involves all its employees in the operation and development of the quality management system. The leadership of ELTE encourages its employees to continuously expand their knowledge and skills in line with the University's strategic goals, and encourages them to share their best practices and knowledge with each other. To this end, it organizes training courses and dissemination events in the field of quality awareness development.

The University pays special attention to its doctoral schools, which, as an integral part of the institution, play a key role in the University's quality assurance framework.

Satisfaction measurement

As part of its quality assurance policy, ELTE regularly measures the satisfaction and needs of its students, employees and partners, as well as the efficiency of its operational processes. Based on the results, it strives for continuous improvement, increasing the satisfaction of its partners.

Regulation and compliance

ELTE is committed to operating within a regulated framework. To reach this goal, it defines and keeps its operating processes up to date. ELTE also continuously updates its institutional quality assurance policy, taking the European Union's higher education policy and the quality policy of the higher education sector into account.

Efficient and data-driven operation, information management

ELTE pays special attention to efficiency in all areas of its operation, which is supported by activities carried out in accordance with the quality management system. It develops and operates data-driven decision-making in all areas. It ensures the security of information management.
