I’m Grace, an international student from Nigeria. I enjoy staying indoors and watching movies. I love political dramas, police procedural series, and action thrillers that keep me on my toes. I also enjoy reading African literature and appreciate my own company.

"Studying at ELTE is fantastic because of its strong focus on international perspectives in business economics. One aspect I particularly appreciate is the structured approach to thesis writing, which is broken down into three semesters. This method not only helps us develop our research skills progressively but also ensures that we receive valuable feedback at each stage. "

What stood out to you about ELTE?

The grading and assessment methods at the Faculty of Economics were quite different from what I was used to. The opportunity to complete professional practice during my studies allows me to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.

What makes studying at ELTE so great?

Studying at ELTE is fantastic because of its strong focus on international perspectives in business economics. One aspect I particularly appreciate is the structured approach to thesis writing, which is broken down into three semesters. This method not only helps us develop our research skills progressively but also ensures that we receive valuable feedback at each stage.

What are/were your challenges in your study program?

One of my biggest challenges has been adapting to a different educational system and managing my time effectively. Additionally, understanding complex economic theories and their applications has been challenging for someone who previously majored in the arts.

How did you overcome these challenges?

I overcame these challenges by seeking help from professors and peers, which helped deepen my understanding of the material. I also prioritized my time management.

How would you describe ELTE in three words?

Diverse, dynamic, and innovative.

How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

I am confident that my degree in International Business Economics will give me ample understanding of the economic theories and how they apply to the world markets. Since starting this program, I have gained a better understanding of economic situations both in my country and globally. I can now read economic news with greater comprehension than before. This will come in handy in my career in international business, allowing me to navigate complex economic landscapes effectively.

Do you have any recommendations for future students at ELTE?

I recommend that future students participate in networking events and seek internships to gain practical experience. Also, don’t hesitate to reach out to your professors and classmates for support; collaboration is key to success!
