WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?
One of the main reasons I chose ELTE was its strong academic reputation and the opportunity to study in an international environment. Also, the fact that it is located in Budapest was a big advantage for me because I was fascinated by the city’s historical and cultural richness.
WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?
Studying at ELTE helps me grow both academically and personally. Learning from experts in my field, meeting people from different cultures, and having the chance to explore the city makes this experience truly rewarding.
WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?
At first, adapting to the academic reading and writing workload was challenging. Additionally, adjusting to a new country and a different education system took some time.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
I managed my time efficiently by taking organized notes and making good use of available resources. I also practiced academic writing regularly to improve my skills. Staying connected with my classmates who were going through similar experiences helped a lot as well.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE ELTE IN THREE WORDS?
Historic, prestigious, international.
HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?
This program helps me develop critical thinking and research skills, giving me a strong academic foundation. It also allows me to understand different cultural and social structures, which will be a great advantage in my future career.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?
- Plan your study schedule well, as the reading and writing workload can be heavy.
- Don’t hesitate to reach out to professors and classmates if you need academic support.
- Take time to explore Budapest! There are so many places to visit, and discovering the city is one of the best parts of studying here.
- Connect with people from different backgrounds—it will enrich your experience both personally and academically.
