This year, the ELTE Sejong Institute celebrates its fifth anniversary, which coincides with the 580th anniversary of the proclamation of Hangul, the Korean alphabet. To mark these two milestones, the Institute will host a three-day series of events from 23 to 25 September 2026.

The programme will introduce participants to the literary value and spirit of Hangul. The special guest of the event series will be the Korean poet Ra Taejoo.

As part of the celebrations, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the beauty of Hangul through calligraphy and sihwa exhibitions, while Korean cultural workshops and a variety of other activities will also be offered. The popular Sejong Golden Bell quiz competition will once again be among the featured events.
