Erasmus+ 60 Hackathon – Third-age learning perspectives in modern society

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ 60 project, University of Latvia is organising a Hackathon on 18 April 2023. This online event is called “Third-age learning perspectives in modern society”.

The event is implemented in the framework of an Erasmus+ KA2 strategic partnership project, called “Erasmus+ 60”, in which Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) cooperates as a consortium partner. This project aims to help people aged 60 or above reach Higher Education opportunities, either through international studies or mobility, thus raising inclusion and greater cohesion in Europe. The project puts emphasis on involving this generation into the Erasmus+ programme, as well.

The Hackathon aims to bring together stakeholders of the project, professionals and leaders in the respective field, NGOs, state institutions, seniors and other involved and interested persons to discuss, collaborate, evaluate and find innovative solutions.

Discussions will cover the following topics:

  • wellbeing factors of studying for seniors (knowledge and future skills to be developed)
  • life-long learning resources (opportunities and effective tools)
  • ways to increase their engagement in life-long learning
