NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT OF ELTE BUDAPEST SUMMER UNIVERSITY FROM 2020 TO SUMMER 2021
It is an important mission of Eötvös Loránd University to reach out to students and researchers from around the world with programmes that provide world-class education embedded in the Hungarian cultural landscape while creating opportunities to build relationships and to learn about each other's knowledge and expertise. In the spirit of this goal, the University, with many of its coworkers, has been organising and coordinating for several years the ELTE Budapest Summer University, a one-week English-language summer school programme.
The leadership of ELTE, considering the possibilities, has come to the conclusion that due to the emergence and spread of the coronavirus epidemic and the unforeseen duration of its run-in, the above-mentioned event will be held next time one year later than planned, in the summer of 2021. In this extraordinary situation, this postponement is the only way in which the leaders of the University see guarantee for the full protection of the health of the participants, which the organisers consider their most important task.

ELTE Business Economics Summer University (ELTE BESU), a part of the ELTE Budapest Summer University, offers six one-week courses for undergraduate and graduate students of business and economics. The courses involve 25 hours of instruction, and students completing them successfully will get a transcript they may use to obtain ECTS credit from their home institutions. Courses offered:

ELTE Summer School in Mathematics - it is a one-week program organized by the Institute of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, ELTE, Budapest.The summer school is aimed at graduate (MSC, PhD) and advanced undergraduate students in Mathematics or in other related programs. The title of this year's school is "On the corssroads of topology, geometry and algebra". The mini courses and some individual lectures will emphasize the connections and bridges between (algebraic) topology, (metric) geometry and algebraic geometry. 26th ELTE Summer University of Hungarian Language and Culture - it is a four-week program offering an intensive Hungarian Language Course with many cultural components. The summer university brings together international students for an intensive Hungarian language course, lecture series about Hungarian culture, and social activities organized in and around Budapest. There is a possibility to take part in the first 2 or 3 weeks of the program with adjusted course fee. |
