Hello, my name is Sarah Sabek, I come from Egypt, I have 3 sibilings and I enjoy several hobbies such as reading, writing, crocheting and nature related activites. I like to spend my free time in a small circle of people while having small conversation and quality time.
WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?
ELTE stood out to be because it has a very long and still exisiting unique history, and if there is one thing that I enjoy other than travelling it’s culture and ethics, and that is why ELTE stood out to me as a univeristy of culture, ethics and deep education priovider. A place where I won’t only recive education but also develop my self and personality.
WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?
Other than the wide variety of courses available you also have a wide variety of extra curriculers that you can enjoy as hobbies or self development. There are also a lot of international students that I can always speak to and get insight from them.
WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?
I study preschool education, the courses were fun and intersting but one challenge that I faced at the beginning was the importance and uniqness of the course. I had to learn that being responsible comes from within and not something that can be taught. With time I learned that I need to understand that I need to develop from myself.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
I needed to start thinking outside of the box more, it wasn’t just they typical day ’Come to class, listen then leave’ I needed to think about how to actually connect with a child, learning how to be patient. I started reading more books into the topics and communicating with parents and teachers that already have children and can help give me advice.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE ELTE IN THREE WORDS?
Commuincative, Chances, Changes
HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?
I believe I will be able to nurture many young learners and at the same time exprience the beauty of giving someone knowledge and care that I also recieved. Not to mention that I am also learning a lot of things that I would want to use as a parent in my future. My degree thankfully works both ways. Work and Life enviorment
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?
Love what you do until you work what you love, meaning if you have a task, assignment at hand, take is a challenge and push through it, love it and bring passion into it. This way when the hard days come in life they come to you as a new anf fun challenge. Always know that everything shall pass sooner or later. You can’t make a decision or your having a bad day? That’s okay, because without bad days there is no good days either. That’s how you should enter ELTE. Focus on your studies and self, love yourself and appreciate the concept of being you. ELTE is a great oppurtuinty not only to face challenges and learn from them, but also to become your future self. I don’t believe in comapring between people because everyone is different and unique in their own way but what I believe in is comparing your first day of uni to your last day of uni, believe me that is when you feel the progress and good luck!
