Hello, I’m Rau, and i’m from the Maldives. if you cannot find me in the library i’m most definitely catching a flight or a train to my next adventure.

WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?

The psychology program at ELTE is excellent, and this was the main reason why i chose ELTE. As a top university in Hungary, ELTE is well-known for its strong research initiatives, high-quality education, and diverse international student community.

WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?

The institution excels in international ranking, it’s quality of teachers, infrastructure, and influence in the student's field of interest. It also provides strong organizational support, regularly updating academic information online and maintaining communication through email and individual consultations.

WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?

adapting to the international environment after coming from a less diverse background. Moving to Hungary pushed me out of my comfort zone, with it’s cultural, and historical differences. However, i believe that overcoming these challenges is rewarding and prepares me for a globalized world.

HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?

I began engaging in conversations, taking part in academic discussions, forming new friendships, and exploring alternative ways of living and understanding life here which helped me with my adaptation process.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?

I am pursuing my MA in psychology, which is a key step toward my future goals. The program helps me improve my communication, and learning skills while preparing me for a career as a researcher and therapist. With a comprehensive curriculum, I am growing both professionally and personally, everyday.
