"The thing that urged me to choose this university is the diversity of specialisations available at the level of each study program."
Why ELTE?
ELTE was my prominant choice because of countless resasons. First of all, it’s a highly ranked Academic instituation in Hungary. In addition to that it receives a huge number of international students each year that’s what illustrates its multicultural atmosphere. Further more, it supports the scientific research and offers several exchanging programs as far as social and volunteering opportunities. Last but not least, the thing that urged me to choose this university is the diversity of specialisations available at the level of each study program. Hence the student can get oriented to what he or she likes easly.
What do you like most about being a student at ELTE?
Being a student at ELTE is more than an academic opportunity. I may consider it as a self discovey that allowed me to know different hidden sides of my personality. I learnt how to socialize and get integrated culturally. Furthermore, I get used to the teaching system as far as the new routine as I am being a foreign student here. ELTE doubled my desire to look and benefit from opportunities; through it I was able to get in touch with students from all over the world and begin passionate about their cultures and backgrounds and that’s a point in favor which gives me a bunch of help in my study-field.
What are your challenges in your study program?
I may literally consider every single challenging case a pushing factor which I experienced through it some falling periods or some difficulties. But I am firmly sure that those few challenging gaps are the concreat of a better change I realised on my own and my academic status as well as my performance in classes and seminars. As each newbee student in an extreme diffrent atmosphere, the online system and the amount of modules and credits was a bit confusing though it seems a clear process nowadays. To reiterate, I want from each student who is aiming to choose ELTE that the hard beginnings are just a paved way to a direct success.
How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?
The fact of choosing English studies as a major in my MA degree doesn’t go randomly. Nowadays English is considered as a Lingua franca and the most frequent language in all the fields. Thus, the ammount of knowledge that I will collect those two remaining years will open for me some considerable work opportunities where I can perform passionately.
Do you have any recommendations for future students at ELTE?
As an international ambassador who passed through all the stages that each student will follow in the next upcoming years, I have to note for evey concerned student some pieces of advice which help him or her to find out the way of suceess while applying for opportunities or looking for best options or specialities of each degree:
I would say you will not regret by taking ELTE as a first choice among the higher education instituations you will choose.
Make sure to search deeply for the right specialisation which relates your background knowledge with your future proffesional or academic plans.
Be open to learn about new cultures and languages and benefit from the multicultural surrounding that you will be living in.
Be always self-engaged and passionate to take all the opportunities and the advantages.
Collect your motives and your actions both together so that you will reach the successful student you are aiming to be.
