“This university has a very welcoming environment and I`m very proud to be one of the international student ambassadors of ELTE.”
Why ELTE?
ELTE has good reputation, it ranks among international universities and it has great academic achievements - all this together motivated me to choose ELTE from the Hungarian universities. I love studying at ELTE since I can choose from a range of various majors. Also, the staff is great, the courses are diverse and there are fascinating fellow students. There are no limitations when it comes to learning.
What do you like most about being a student at ELTE?
ELTE has a fantastic location: it is situated in the heart of Budapest, which is very important for me as a student at ELTE. Also, the advanced style of teaching, classes, libraries, proficient and well known professors are among those things that one should be proud of as a student at ELTE.
What are the challenges in your study program?
Since the university has very well-formed and successful plans and procedures for international students, I haven`t encountered any serious difficulties worth mentioning so far! However, trying hard to succeed and getting good marks, meeting the deadlines and carrying out primary research were among all the things which I can call as challenges in my studies.
How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?
After obtaining my MA in London in 2012 and returning back home and working as a lecturer for three years, I believed that I need to develop academically more in order to progress in my career. Since Stipendium Hungarian Scholarship has been provided by Hungarian government, ELTE seemed to be the perfect place for me to do my PhD. I am sure that holding a degree from such a famous university will help me to choose from a wide range of opportunities that may come to my way in the future.
Do you have any advice for future students at ELTE?
This university has a very welcoming environment and I`m very proud to be one of the international student ambassadors of ELTE. Therefore, I would advise any international students to seek to do their degrees at ELTE. Everyone here speaks generally good English so there is not much to be afraid of! And if you decide to learn Hungarian (which is anyway so worth it!); there are many courses where you can immerse yourself in the language and culture.
Looking forward to meeting you here at ELTE, and please don’t hesitate to ask for any favor, we can surely help you as international student ambassadors of ELTE!
