Period of studies at ELTE: 2015.02.01 - 2015.06.30

“ELTE is quite a known university, the best one in Hungary, so I think that only the fact that I studied here might help me to find a job in the field.”

Why ELTE?

ELTE is one of the four European universities cooperating on a master course I am studying which is called “TEMA European territories”. I decided to spend one semester here because of ELTE’s very good reputation and the very good libraries in Budapest.

What did you like most about being a student at ELTE?

The professors at ELTE are with no doubt among the best I’ve ever met. They really care about you even though you are here just for one semester. I really like the whole Faculty of Humanities campus, as well. It is right in the city center and it has everything you need.

What were the challenges in your study program?

In general, studying at ELTE is not an easy task. Sometimes it gets really hard, because professors are quite demanding. However, you can be sure that you get the best possible education.

How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

ELTE is quite a known university, the best one in Hungary, so I think that only the fact that I studied here might help me to find a job in the field. ELTE prepares you/students very well for an academic career, so if this is your goal, ELTE is a good choice.

Do you have any advice for future students at ELTE?

Don’t hesitate to ask and talk to people in Budapest, they are all very nice and most of them speak English. Enjoy the atmosphere of the place and for lunch go to get the menu (soup+sandwich) in the café down in the building of the history departments and the library of the School of English and American Studies. It is just the best ☺
