ELTE provides different study programs in which we could get knowledge besides our own profession

WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?

There are lots of points that were really interesting for me. Firstly, ELTE’s long-standing reputation as one of the leading universities in Hungary really impressed me. Its rich history and tradition in education are remarkable. Also I was excited by ELTE’s diverse and international student body, which offers a great opportunity for cultural exchange and collaboration.

WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?

Firstly, its location is very good. Secondly, ELTE provides different study programs in which we could get knowledge besides our own profession. Additionally, with a vibrant international student community, ELTE provides an opportunity to meet people from all over the world and develop a global perspective. Also for me the best one is its library where we can find lots of books and also enjoy its beautiful artitecture:)

WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?

One challenge I faced was balancing theoretical knowledge with practical applications. It was sometimes difficult to see how abstract concepts applied to real-world educational management situations. Also comparing different education systems to my own education system and reading articles about these comparisons, defining important points and results are quite challenging for me.

HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?

To overcome the challenge of balancing theoretical knowledge with practical applications, I actively sought out opportunities to apply what I learned through case studies, internships, and real-world examples. This helped me connect abstract concepts to real-life situations in educational management. Additionally, when comparing different education systems to my own, I broke down the articles into manageable sections, focusing on key points, and sought guidance from professors or classmates when needed. Engaging in discussions and using comparison frameworks also made it easier to identify important results and insights from the readings.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE ELTE IN THREE WORDS?

Diverse, equity, prestigious

HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?

I believe that the knowledge I get throughout this degree will help me to manage my team very effectively and to plan educational projects successfully in the future. Here my degree equips me with essential leadership and management skills that are critical for leading educational institutions, making strategic decisions. With this knowledge of understanding how to manage educational institutions and implement effective policies, I can contribute to creating a better, more equitable education system in my country’s education system.

DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?

For future students at ELTE, my main recommendation is to actively engage in both academic and social aspects of university life. Take full advantage of the diverse range of courses and build strong relationships with professors and peers. Staying organized and managing your time effectively is crucial for handling assignments and deadlines. Also don’t miss the opportunity to explore research projects that align with your interests, as they can greatly enhance your academic journey.
Finally, try to enjoy your studies and free time in Budapest:)!
