What stood out to you about ELTE?

I am convinced that studying for a master’s degree in a prestigious university such as ELTE will provide me the knowledge and skills I need as a researcher. ELTE offers various programs in foreign languages. Simply, ELTE means knowledge, opportunities, competition, openness and community.

What makes studying at ELTE so great?

The high quality of education is the greatest thing about ELTE. The various ways of learning make students enjoy their studies. The professors are friendly and helpful. ELTE offers an international environment that allows you to meet other students from different countries and exchange knowledge and experiences with them.

What are / were your challenges in your study program?

During my study program, the challenge I faced as an international student was the language barrier. The language was a big obstacle for me in Hungary. The other challenge during my study program was the lack of opportunities (internships, fellowships…).

How did you overcome these challenges?

To overcome the challenges, I started learning the Hungarian language in order to adapt to the new environment and be able to understand more of the culture.

How would you describe ELTE in three words?

Sense of belonging, Success, Joy of learning.

How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

My Master’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology will help me acquire a deep knowledge to understand societies and cultures in their everyday life, the micro and personal levels of social interactions and cultural communication. It will help me get the tools and knowledge needed to build my professional future in practicing communication and culture, which really satisfies my aspirations and concerns.

Do you have any recommendations for future students at ELTE?

Studying abroad is the best decision you can ever make. Don’t be afraid to start a new experience, be courageous in pursuing your dreams and enjoy. ELTE is a great place to have a successful academic life and a successful future.
