The Erasmus+ cooperation partnership project, called PADMICA (Scalable and Low-Resource Preparation and Debriefing Modules for Students’ Intercultural Competence Development Abroad) aims to foster outgoing students’ intercultural competencies by developing training modules for intercultural preparation and debriefing of mobility.

The three-year-long project, which started in November 2023, develops ready-made blended intercultural preparation and debriefing modules that are rooted in intercultural education theory and hold up in different institutional settings and cultural contexts, targeting outgoing students. Besides, PADMICA also supports staff of international relation offices at higher education institutions to deliver intercultural preparation and debriefing by implementing a train-the-trainer module, creating in-house expertise.

ELTE primarily contributes to research activities: as part of the students’ intercultural preparation and debriefing, ELTE experts lead the relevant literature review, as well as take part in developing the training modules.

Colleagues from Institute of Intercultural Psychology and Education work on the project implementation: Professor Lan Anh Nguyen Luu and Habil. Associate Professor Mónika Kovács.
