The SMURFS move into the ELTE Botanical Garden HU
Last year, the Garden of Lights was a great success, where the surreal world of Alice in Wonderland came to life through magical lights. This year, the ELTE Botanical Garden will once again be dressed in fairy-tale colors, bringing the world of Smurf Village to life.

After dusk, the world of the Smurfs will light up in the ELTE Botanical Garden, where Papa Smurf, Greedy, Jokey, Smurfette, and even Gargamel will come to life through the light displays. The multimedia exhibition and light show, opening on 18 October, will provide an experience for all ages: a nostalgic journey back to childhood for adults, and a magical world where the story comes alive for children.

The enchanting light display is powered by 500,000 energy-efficient LEDs and more than 20,000 meters of light garlands. The largest installation is a 52-meter-long light tunnel with 85,000 LEDs. Over 100 trees will be decorated with fairy-tale light garlands, and the tallest installation reaches 12 meters. The exhibition consists of more than 100 installation elements and 20 photo spots featuring scenes from The Smurfs, along with special light effects and multimedia features.

Visitors can enjoy the lights from 18 October to 2 March. The opening hours will vary according to sunset: between 18 October and 7 November, weekdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on weekends and holidays from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. From 8 November to 2 March, the exhibition will be open on weekdays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on weekends and holidays from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Ticket prices: on weekdays, adults and teenagers can enter for 4,200 HUF, and children for 3,800 HUF. On weekends and holidays, tickets cost 4,500 HUF for adults and teenagers, and 4,100 HUF for children.
