STRATEGIC COOPERATION BETWEEN HUN-REN AND ELTE

The agreement creates a mutually beneficial situation, a positive vision for both parties, and opportunities for dynamic development.
Darázs Lénárd, the rector-candidate elected by the ELTE Senate, initiated a meeting with Balázs Gulyás, President of the HUN-REN Research Network, and Roland Jakab, its CEO. As Hungary’s largest research university, ELTE aims to enhance its scientific capacities and strengthen its international visibility. During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation between the two institutions and expressed their intent to deepen their collaboration.
As a first step within the rector’s strategic plan, the University leadership proposed strengthening cooperation with HUN-REN research institutes active in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The collaboration between the research institutes and the University could create a mutually beneficial environment, fostering a positive vision and dynamic development for all involved. Deepening research cooperation between the two institutions is also desirable in other fields, leading both parties to agree on holding regular discussions moving forward.
