Recent Developments in Clinical Psychology

The summer school creates a forum to discuss recent developments, theoretical and practical problems of the profession. The focus of this year’s discussion will be crucial aspects of psychoanalytic clinical insight especially those referring to trauma.The event is open to clinical psychology students of MA and PhD level, students of postgraduate programs of clinical psychology, psychiatry or psychotherapy as well as for clinical psychologists, psychiatrists or psychotherapists. The summer school offers 7 academic credits for those who complete the course successfully.
Organizers
The International Summer School is organized by the Hungarian Psychoanalytical Society and the Faculty of Education and Psychology (PPK).
The Hungarian Psychoanalytical Society is one of the oldest member societies of the International Psychoanalytical Association founded by Sandor Ferenczi in the year of 1913. It was refounded in 1989 and from that time it offers professional framework and scientific forum for practicing psychoanalysts who treat people suffering from mental disorders of various levels of severity. Furthermore, it takes care of future generation psychoanalysts’ training. Finally, it carries out various initiatives to develop psychoanalytic theory and practice and to spread psychoanalytic knowledge and wisdom in wider circles of society.
