The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of ELTE and the Kopp Mária Institute for Population and Families (KINCS) are organizing an international scientific symposium focused on promoting labor market participation for parents with young children.

The joint research by KINCS and ELTE ÁJK examines issues related to the European Pillar of Social Rights and the demographic toolkit of the European Union. The aim of the project is to explore the labor market challenges faced by families with young children, focusing specifically on the situation of returning parents, best practices, and future challenges. International experts have prepared studies on the topic, which will be published in an open-access, peer-reviewed volume. The symposium will address professional issues related to access to employment, labor law protection, social protection, and social services, including early childhood education and care systems, in two parts across four panels.
