Meiji University Short-term Japanese Language Program

Meiji University, celebrating its 143rd anniversary in 2024, is a comprehensive university which has received high reputation from home and abroad as one of the "Tokyo Six Universities". Currently, more than 33,000 students, including approximately 1,800 international students, study at the university’s ten faculties.

The Japanese Language Education Center will offer a 2-week short-term Japanese language program in February 2024. This program includes not only Japanese language study, but also project work, exchange activities with Meiji University students, exchange with degree seeking international students currently studyling at Meiji University and Japanese cultural experiences, which will satisfy your learning needs.
Why not come to Meiji University, located here in the heart of Tokyo, to learn and practice real Japanese and its culture with the Meiji students. A new experience in Japan awaits you!

The application period is October 5 2023 – November 8 2023 (Japan Time).

Applications may be closed when the capacity is reached.

Program Dates: February 5 – Feb 16 2024 [2 weeks]

Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students of overseas universities

Program Fee: JPY90,000
Included: Tuition, textbooks, bus tour, field trip fees
Not Included : Accommodation, travel expenses, meals, and other living expenses

Program Level & Capacity
Elementary Class : 12 students Intermediate Class : 12 students
Classes may be cancelled if it does not reach minimum number (12 in each class). More than 12 students per class may be accepted. Students from partner institutions have priority to join.

Accommodation Participants shall make their own arrangements (student dormitory not available) If you wish to stay at a hotel recommended by the university, please apply once your participation is confirmed.

VISA :We provide necessary documents for VISA application only for students of our partner universities who need VISA to enter Japan.
