Joint statement on double investment in education, research and innovation

Thirteen European research university networks signed a joint statement calling upon the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council to double funding for research, innovation and education in the next Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF).
The statement is a result of an initiative by LERU and it is signed by several university networks in which ELTE is an active member, including EUA, UNICA and Coimbra Group. The paper underlines that sufficient national investment in research and education together with the doubled budget of the EU Framework Programme is crucial for Europe's compatitiveness and for a suistanable European society.
