From the Mongolian Department to the cinemas

Beyond the Carpathians, beyond the Urals, and even beyond the endless sea of grass, lives a nation that remembers and loves the Hungarians. This personal road movie takes us to Mongolia to shed light on the strange sense of kinship between Hungarians and Mongolians. The journey is also a spiritual quest for the director to change his own destiny.

The work of the student from the Mongolian Studies doctoral program at ELTE Faculty of Humanities is based on the research of the „70 Years, 70 Faces” oral history project led by Ágnes Birtalan. The film will be presented to the public at the Alexandre Trauner Art/Film Festival in Szolnok, where it is competing in the Spectacular Science section.
