The sixth international workshop titled The History of Speech Communication Research will be hosted by the Department of Applied Linguistics and Phonetics at ELTE.

The workshop aims to provide a platform for researchers specializing in the history of speech science to present their research and engage in mutual exchange. Understanding past explorations, methods, results, and experiences helps in accurately identifying and better interpreting current issues and questions in the field.

Plenary speakers at the workshop are Jürgen Trouvain (Saarland University) and Ákos Gocsál (University of Pécs).
