ELTE expands its international network in Southeast Asia HU
Eötvös Loránd University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ten Indonesian higher education institutions to establish scientific and educational cooperation.

At the end of September, an Indonesian delegation of representatives from ten higher education institutions visited Eötvös Loránd University. The delegation was welcomed by Imre Hamar, Vice Rector for International Affairs and Eszter Knyihár, Head of the International Strategy Office, and the Faculty of Law  and the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Informatics, the Faculty of Education and Psychology, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education.

The Indonesian delegation was given a brief overview of ELTE's operations, training and internationalisation strategy, then János Botzheim, Associate Professor at ELTE's Faculty of Informatics, presented the projects and research at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, and Imre Kacskovics, Dean of the Faculty of Science, presented the molecular microbiology laboratory, which was inaugurated in 2022 and played an important role in Covid research.

At the meeting, ELTE joined forces with ten Indonesian institutions (Universitas Budi Luhur, Institute of Science and Business Atma Luhur, Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, Universitas Esa Unggul, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, Universitas Multi Data Palembang, Universitas Jayabaya, Universitas Jakarta Internasional, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, Universitas Pancasila) and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish scientific and educational cooperation, the details of which will be developed by the Southeast Asian delegation with the faculty of ELTE in the near future.
